Welcome to CocoScout. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.

CocoScout is a production management platform designed to help theater producers, directors, performers, and other production staff coordinate auditions, casting, scheduling, and communications for live theatrical productions.

2. Account Types and Usage

2.1 Free Performer Accounts

All users receive a free performer account by default. Free accounts allow you to:

Sign up for auditions
View show schedules and rehearsal calendars
Communicate with castmates and production teams
Track your performance history
Manage your profile and headshots

2.2 Paid Producer Accounts

To create and manage productions, run auditions, or organize festivals, you must subscribe to a paid producer account. Paid features include:

Creating and managing productions
Running audition cycles and accepting applications
Coordinating casting and availability
Managing production teams and permissions
Centralizing cast communications and announcements

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain the security of your account password
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Use the service in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
Treat other users with respect and professionalism
Not use the service for any unlawful or fraudulent purposes
Not impersonate any person or entity

4. Content and Intellectual Property

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to CocoScout, including headshots, resumes, audition materials, and production information. By uploading content, you grant CocoScout a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the service.

4.2 CocoScout's Intellectual Property

The CocoScout platform, including its design, features, functionality, and all related intellectual property, is owned by CocoScout and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

5. Payment and Subscriptions

5.1 Paid Subscriptions

Producer subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on file.

5.2 Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not provide refunds for partial subscription periods except as required by law.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to other users or to CocoScout. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

8. Limitation of Liability

CocoScout is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CocoScout shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except where prohibited by law.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a prominent notice on the platform. Your continued use of CocoScout after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
